Carpet cleaning is an important task that is usually scheduled in the summer season every year by most of households. People, according to their own preferences employ different carpet cleaning methods. Every carpet cleaning method employs a different approach and has its own pros and cons. The most common carpet cleaning methods are:
- Dry solvent cleaning:
Dry cleaning solvent is a chemical fluid used to clean fabrics, textile and carpets surface without using water. It is safe on all types of carpet and especially recommended for delicate fibers that are not wet cleanable.
- Absorbent Pad bonnet buffing:
A large cotton bonnet with a floor polishing buffer is used in this method to absorb dirt from the carpet owing to its rotating motion. This method is perfect only for a lightly soiled low pile carpet, which is required to be dried quickly.
- Dry Compound Extraction:
A dry compound is created from a powdered substance mixed with a mud-like chemical compound that is sprinkled over the carpet and brushed up using a mechanical brushing. The carpet is then vacuumed for removing the compound with dirt and debris immersed in it. This method is too safe on all carpets and opted for non-wet cleanable carpets.
- Dry Foam Extraction:
This method involves a process in which leather foam is generated form a carpet shampoo solution, which is rubbed into the carpet by a cylindrical brush, which is then sucked up by a vacuum. This is a low moisture cleaning method applied to upholstery and lightly soiled carpets
- Hot Water Extraction Cleaning:
In this method a steam carpet cleaning machine is used, which employs steam power with cleaning solution to clean the soil and debris that is vacuumed at the end. Steam cleaner is also considered to be the best carpet cleaner and should be employed in this process for effective cleaning. This method is perfect for light and heavy soiling.
